We invite you to visit our New Year's lounge at Mellow Tones Vocal Studio and celebrate the approach of the New Year with the 5th anniversary of our vocal studio with songs and dances!
In the main program: the recital of our school, where you will hear the best New Year hits performed by Katerina Brown and her students, accompanied by virtuoso musicians: Rick Ferguson, Sasha Ovsankin, David Abuladze (drums), Erik Abramyan (sax).
At the end of the concert, a jam session with star musicians, as well as karaoke and dancing to live music until you drop awaits you!
Halloween Vocal Recital
This scary Halloween show will take place at Mellow Tones Vocal Studio (825 Independence Ave, Mountain View) on October 30 at 3 pm.
The program will include two sets of music which will be performed by the best students.
There will be a variety of great tunes including famous retro pop-rock hits, jazz standards, and songs from the musical theater repertoire.
We will have a special guest and wonderful accompanist - Rick Ferguson (piano).
Some drinks and snacks will be provided by the studio, however, feel free to bring your favorite snack and drink.
Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) Introduction by Katerina Brown, March 2020
Complete Vocal Technique has answers and very practical tools to deal with vocal issues. It is the world’s largest singing technique method with the most teachers sharing a technical terminology.
CVT is based in voice anatomy and physiology, CVT covers techniques for all genres and styles of singing in a healthy manner.
CVT is published in the most premier scientific journals, in books, and in apps and has become a great international success with translations into 10 languages.
CVT is right for you if you:
are a beginner to advance level singer and want to learn to control your voice to gain more confidence on stage

Conference - a master class from representatives of the Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) from the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Finland, and Russia, January 2020
January 6 - CVT (from theory to practice): "Golden Exercises," practical uses of CVT in the styles of Pop-Rock, Musical Theater, Jazz, and Classical music. The mic technique and more practical aspects.
January 7 - Pedagogy and psychology of the CVT method: scanning and decoding, teaching the six different types of learning. The technique of the interpretation, removing psychological blocks by influencing the way we think, the difference between "growth and fixed" mindsets.
Mellow Tones Vocal Studio by Katerina Brown introduces a Master Class from world-famous vocal teacher Razz Kennedy.
Razz Kennedy will answer all the questions about vocal technique and will give the participants a deeper understanding of rhythm, phrasing, interpretation, vocal ornamentation (melismatics) and stylistic choices that are unique to these genres.
He will also give individual recommendations for the participants of the lesson, will help everyone decide on the choice of techniques and methods that are characteristic of styles and that are suitable for a particular vocalist.
The master class will be useful for singers and vocal teachers who want to improve their skills and learn the techniques used by world famous vocalists.
Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) workshop in Moscow
During the three-hour master-class, you will learn the basic elements of the presented technique. With this knowledge and further practice, you will be able to master your voice perfectly, accurately reproduce any sounds, sing in different genres, and most importantly, maintain a healthy vocal instrument. During the practical part of the lesson, you will also identify problems and mistakes in controlling your voice in order to handle them yourself in the future.

Sound colours – to make the sound lighter or darker. Effects – to achieve specific sound effects (foundation level).
